An Afternoon of Wii Gaming

Starting January 10, 2009




Join us every second Saturday of the month for an afternoon of gaming. If you have ever wanted to learn more about Wii, this is your chance! People of all ages are getting into Wii. Try bowling or tennis, Mario Kart, or be in a Rock Band. There is something for everyone.

Open to every age and skill level. Would like to start a Wii Bowling League.

Jan. 5th: Writing Your Resume and Cover Letter
Your cover letter and resume are the most important tools for landing a job or career. Learn different resume styles and which one works for you. Your cover letter is your foot in the door. Learn how to make a good impression.

Jan. 12: Skills Employers Look For
To boost your chances in landing a job, you need to have some basic employable skills. What types of skills are employers look for? What can I do if I don’t have those basic skills? Find out what local agencies can help.

Jan. 19th: Job Searching Online
Expand your search by using the Internet to find a job. More and more employers are looking online for their next employee. What website(s) should I use to find a job? How do I search the website for a job I'm qualified for? Once I found a job I want to apply to, now what? Find out the answers to these questions by attending the Job Searching 101 workshops.

Jan. 26th: Sharpening Your Interview Skills
So you were called for an interview. Make the most of this opportunity. Learn how to make a good first impression. Get advice on how to dress, body language, and things you should know to impress the interviewer. Also, what you can do after the interview that might give you the edge over other candidates.

See how, with just some basic rubber stamping techniques and a few simple embellishments each card you make will be unique.

The projects are simple enough for beginners of all ages.
This is a nice way for parents and children to spend a fun hour together!
